From the owner

The Stable has been beautifully renovated, and provides a very warm and spacious self-contained apartment, comprising a large double bedroom, sitting room, bathroom, kitchen and outside terrace.

It is separate from the main house and overlooks parkland and green space. There is an excellent traditional local pub with log fires within 300 yds (5 mins walk).

Goodwood and Gatwick are both a 30 minute drive away. We can collect you and drop you off if necessary.

The spacious accommodation comprises:

A spacious and welcoming sitting room with access to the garden and outside patio which overlooks the beautiful gardens and parkland.

A large bedroom with double bed (5ft) and plenty of storage space. All linen and towels are provided.

A fully fitted shower room with a large walk-in shower, heated towel -rail, WC and wash hand basin with heated mirror over.

Kitchen with fridge, electric hob, microwave, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities and all the crockery and utilities that you need for basic cooking.

The rooms are filled with light, with large skylights in both the living areas. There is a lovely feeling of space which is enhanced by the open beams and high ceilings. There is underfloor heating throughout making this a very warm and comfortable place to sit and relax after a day exploring or working.

The Stable has its own completely separate entrance and there is private parking for one car.

With miles of bridleways and footpaths on the doorstep, it is perfect for walkers, holidaymakers and business professionals alike. There is an excellent local pub within 300 yds (5 mins walk), Knepp Castle Deerpark and Wildlife Safari Estate is just 2 miles away, and we are 1.5 miles from the Downs link - a former railway line which is now a public bridleway and cycle path. If you feel like a day out at the seaside, then the coast is only a 25 minute drive away. Goodwood and Gatwick are both within 30 minutes drive.

We are a little too remote to be serviced by public transport. Our closest mainline railway stations are Christs Hospital which is a 10 minute drive and £12 taxi ride away, and Horsham which is a 15 minute drive (£18 by taxi). You can be in Victoria within the hour. Gatwick airport is just 28 minutes away by car (£30 by taxi), or 30 mins by train from Christs Hospital. For an extra charge, you can securely leave your car with us whilst you are on your travels.

Why can't I call Nicky (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Nicky (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.

If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
