Newly renovated, self contained, ground floor annex apartment

The annex apartment is part of our detached family home, but completely separate with its own entrance door. The annex was refurbished in 2018 with oak floors and doors, new kitchen and bathroom and new carpet in the bedroom. We are situated in a nice residential area to the east side of the medieval town of Shrewsbury, approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre.

Perfect for single travellers, couples and can also accommodate 4 people at a squeeze. The bathroom is situated off the bedroom, so maybe not ideal for 2 couples, but fine for a family with children who are happy to share the sofa bed while on holiday. It has a well equipped kitchen with a Bosch electric oven and Bosch gas hob, integrated fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. Everything you need to cater for yourselves is included (except food!)

We have parking available on our spacious drive and amenities close at hand (Sainsbury's Local, several pubs are within a 10 minute walk). If you're planning on visiting for business then the Shirehall is a 5 minute walk and the Shrewsbury Business Park is a short drive away.

We provide the following amenities:

Guests have access to the accommodation only, there is no outside space available apart from parking and a pathway to the side entrance door. There are two play areas for children within a 5-10 minute walk.

We are very happy to help with any questions you may have. Many guests prefer to be left to their own devices, which is fine. We will take the lead from you.

Other things to note:

The annex bedroom and bathroom windows face onto our rear garden, for your privacy we have frosted glass in these windows.

The bedroom is a lovely bright South facing room, there are blackout curtains to help keep the early morning light out during the summer months.

The annex is part of a family home and you may hear us occasionally, we do not consider ourselves a noisy family.

You may hear some traffic noise from the road at the front of the house at peak times.

We live in a nice residential area and expect guests to treat our neighbours and surrounding areas with respect.

We are on a bus route into town, the nearest bus stop is less than 20 seconds away! A walk into the town centre will take around 20-25 minutes.

House rules:

We don't allow outdoor shoes to be worn inside.

No pets.

No parties or events.

Check in time 3pm-7pm (some flexibility is often available).

Check out time 10am.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carol (the owner) a message.

If Carol (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
