From the manager

Villa Le Tolfe is so close to Siena you can almost touch it (only 3 kilometres away). With stunning views and beautiful antique gardens this villa is perfect for relaxed stress free holidays.

The house is built on top of a hill covered with olive groves and vineyards. It has two floors connected by an internal stair case, each floor with it’s own separate entrance, a kitchen and dining room, making it perfect for extended family groups or separate families holidaying together. Built in the 18th century, this graceful villa has a wonderful feeling of history.

It has large airy rooms with spectacular views, each one furnished with rustic antique pieces that are both comfortable and functional and look as though they have been in the family for ever. It is perfectly located to explore all the major Tuscan points of interest including Siena, Florence, San Gimignano etc.

ACCOMODATION: Villa Le Tolfe can easily accommodate 8 people and 2 extra persons in a sofa bed for a total of 10 persons.

Entering the front door you find a long hallway going to the right and the left. The rooms open off this hallway and at one end is the main kitchen which is a large and spacious room with massive original fireplace, dining table, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and four burner cook top.

On this floor are also a bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with twin beds, the bathroom with shower over the bathtub and the living room with comfortable sofas and TV sat. This room must be crossed to reach the internal staircase to the upstairs.

Upstairs is another double bedroom, another twin bedroom, a bathroom with the shower over the bathtub and twin basins and a delightful and sprawling sitting room with a double sofa bed. At the end of a long corridor that mimics the one below a smaller kitchen and a separate bright airy dining room with television. Next to the kitchen and at the end of the corridor lovely French double doors open on to a terrace equipped to eat outside, and external stairs that lead to the garden. Air conditioning is available on this floor, only in the two bedrooms and in the hallway.

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL: As the house is built on a hill it looks over the top of its own gardens across to magnificent views. The garden was designed along with the house about 300 years ago and today is a mature and formal design of topiary hedges and large shady trees.

Few steps in stone will lead you to the lower terrace where you can find the pool (6 x 9 meters), in ground on three sides and has a fourth flank that constantly over flows, blending the water with the valley beyond. It is very private and not overlooked. Along the pathway to the pool you will find a small terrace with the barbecue and the brickwork pizza oven.

A ping pong table is available to entertain your children in a paved area beside the villa.
