Moss Eccles Tarn is a cosy Alpine Style lodge on the private Neaum Crag Estate, just above Skelwith Bridge and 3 miles from Ambleside.

The cabin is set within a picturesque and secluded woodland estate, set on the fell side of Little Loughrigg. The cabin is near the top of the estate, in an elevated and peaceful position, with limited views over the surrounding fells.

Moss Eccles Tarn is in the perfect location if you want to leave the car on the drive, and walk out the front door straight onto a footpath. You can walk from the lodge, straight into the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District with views over Loughrigg Tarn and the Langdale Valley.

Grasmere, Rydal and Ambleside are all within walking distance with many paths over Loughrigg Fell, and Elterwater can be reached with a stroll along the banks of the River Rothay.

In the evening you can walk within 5 minutes to just beyond the top of the estate the top of the estate and watch the sun go down over the Langdale Pikes.

The lodge itself offers well equipped and comfortable self catering accommodation. It has a modern fitted kitchen with an electric fan oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and microwave; a dining area with table and chairs; and a comfortable lounge with TV/DVD and Wi-Fi connection.

We regularly use the cabin ourselves and therefore hope to have included everything in the cabin we think you would need for a holiday.

At the rear of the cabin is a south/west facing gravelled area ideal for enjoying the afternoon sun after a day out. There is a BBQ and patio furniture for 4.

The estate also has a free small indoor swimming pool, ideal for children to splash around in. There is also a sauna and a laundrette with dryer, for which there is a small charge.

Full bedding, towels, electricity, heating and WiFi access are provided and are included in the rental cost. There is no additional charge for pets, or booking fee.

Please note. From 15 November to 4 January the swimming pool and sauna are closed.
