Villa Alexandros is a fully restored (in 2022) and beautifully preserved stone-built construction with historical roots dating back to 1885. It is situated in the charming village of Skouloufia, just 18 kilometers from Rethymno town. The entire villa spans an expansive 270 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. In the front of the villa, there is a paved patio area hosting a private 30-square-meter swimming pool that also includes a children's pool, complete with sunbeds and umbrellas. The villa features 6 bedrooms, 6 en-suite full bathrooms, and an additional guest WC.

The ground floor welcomes you with a living area featuring a cozy fireplace and a TV set. A few steps lead through a stunning stone archway to the fully equipped open-plan kitchen area, complete with a large dining table, a spacious fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an espresso coffee machine, and all the modern appliances you might need. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a convenient guest WC and a utility room housing the washing machine. Furthermore, the ground floor boasts three bedrooms, two of which feature double beds, while the third offers two single beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The kitchen also provides access to the veranda, which is equipped with patio furniture, a large stone-built sofa, and a built-in BBQ with a traditional oven.

Moving to the upper floor, you'll discover three more bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds, all accompanied by en-suite bathrooms. Every bedroom is individually air-conditioned and furnished with smart TVs. The entire villa is equipped with fast Wi-Fi internet access.

Skouloufia village boasts two traditional tavernas, a classic kafenion, and a mini-market for your convenience. The nearest supermarket and the sandy beach of Stavromenos are located approximately 8 kilometers away. A must-visit attraction is the archaeological site of the ancient village of Eleftherna (4 km), which houses one of the most internationally important excavations and archaeological museums. Additionally, the renowned Arkadi Monastery (8 km) with its beautifully restored buildings and museum comes highly recommended. A car is essential for exploring the area, and free parking is available at the villa.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
