From the owner

The house of Ribô is located in the historical part of the village of Soajo, in the heart of the PNPG (National Park of Peneda Gerês). The village of Soajo is famous for its communal area consisting of 24 granaries, which form a group classified as Property of Public Interest since 1983. The "Ribô House" is named after the fact that, in the parish of Soajo, thus the name of the place of "Riobom". This house, which is believed to have been built in the 18th century, is one of the oldest houses in Soajo, and the last known records give it as belonging to several generations of one of the oldest families in Soajo village: "the Enes" . After inheritance, the present owner proceeded in 1974 to a profound remodeling of the house, maintaining its original layout, but endowing it with the comfort that allowed him to enjoy it during weekends and vacations. The result was so achieved that the architect responsible for the recovery was then praised by the PNPG. In 2014, 40 years after the remodeling, the house underwent a new intervention. Now, with a current decoration and an increase in comfort, the house offers all the conditions to be able to proudly carry out its current functions of tourist accommodation and thus to receive in a dignified way all those who visit it.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mario (the owner) a message.

If Mario (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
