From the owner

The static caravan is close to moorland, woodland, walks, cycle trails, farm animals and wildlife. You’ll love my place because of the seclusion, views, peacefulness and its self-contained accommodation. It will sleep up to three adults and two children. It is also good for couples who need their own space with kitchen and laundry facilities. Bedding including sheets, pillowcases, teacloths, toilet rolls and towels are provided. Dishwasher tablets, washing pods and fairy liquid all supplied.

The static caravan has its own small gravelled courtyard with seating and washing line. There is a utility room added to the static home with washing machine, tumble drier, dehumidifier and freezer. An ideal space to leave wet coats and walking boots. In addition to this there is safe bicycle storage if required.

Free wifi is available in public areas around the farmhouse and in the garden but is not available within the static caravan, although there is a good mobile phone reception (depending on supplier).

The farmhouse is only about 50m away from the static caravan and there is usually someone available to speak to guests and advise on the best places to visit and eat out.

The farm is a working sheep farm with farm work taking place on a daily basis. Very little traffic passes the site, so it is generally very quiet except for the noise of the farm animals, tractors and working dogs.

We are situated on Exmoor close to the Devon and Somerset Border. Exmoor National Park has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first place in Europe to achieve this prestigious award and only the second in the world. On a clear night you can lie in bed and star gaze, listen to red deer stags roaring in autumn and the early morning chorus of song birds

The hosts Judy and Henry have a wealth of knowledge of what makes Exmoor special. Their farm is close to the moors with all its attractions, ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, shooting & horse riding. Walk along lanes & through woodland to reach the moors, where the views are breathtaking & the peace & quiet amazing

The farm although in a very secluded area is just a five minute drive to the nearest village, with shop & post office that sells nearly everything, together with a public house and church. The town of South Molton is 6 miles, Barnstaple & Tiverton 18 miles & the stunning North Devon sandy beaches approximately 25 miles. Junction 27 of the M5 motorway is 27 miles, a 30 minute drive away.

The nearest public transport is 3 miles away at North Molton Village where there is a regular bus service.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Judith (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
