Elliott House and The Dairy are two of seven properties in the complex at Oakerthorpe Holiday Village.

Elliott House is a spacious 4 bedroom house.

Bedroom 1 is a double with en-suite with French doors to a small outside area, bedroom 2 has a king size bed and a single bed with private bathroom, bedroom 3 is has a double and single bed with en-suite, bedroom 4 has a king size bed with en-suite.

The property has a standard occupancy of 10 however we are able to sleep 12 by adding additional put up beds to the largest bedrooms. The price is £20 per bed/per night.

The dining table has a maximum seating capacity of 10.

The kitchen has granite worktops and is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer and a wine cooler, boasting under floor heating as well as conventional radiators keeping the occupants as snug in the colder days despite of the mandatory single glazing as the property is grade 2 listed.

The Dairy is a traditional stone built 2 bedroom cottage boasting of some remarkable features inside and out with underfloor heating, ample parking and its own secure garden with outdoor seating.

The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen /diner with granite kitchen worktops, integrated fridge and freezer, dishwasher and washing machine adjacent a snug living area.

The first floor compromises of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom and wet room and for your enjoyment the Dairy has Freeview TV and Wi-fi.

As the Dairy is a grade 2 listed building as such the property has single glazing throughout however due to the thickness of the walls the property is still very cosy with shutters in upstairs bedrooms.

Both properties have Freeview TV and Wi-fi . Elliott House has its own private courtyard area, hot tub and BBQ station all behind electrically operated gates making the area completely private and secure with plentiful adjacent parking everything has been thought of.

Grounds include a large playpark with playhouse, designated BBQ area, a floodlit sports area and a bespoke enclosed dog walking area along the banks of the River Amber, where the adjacent sluice gates and weir will be seen that served to provide water power to the neighbouring Cotton Mill circa 1790.

Adjacent the property is a walled Orchard which has chickens, geese, ducks, bantams, quails, peacocks, sheep, pigs and meerkats is where Farmer Vic invites guests to help at feeding time and collect eggs from the chickens throughout the year except during the Christmas period.

Oakerthorpe Holiday Village aims to provide a truly memorable stay for all its guests with top class accommodation, striving at all times to deliver the very best along with giving a unique and memorable experience however we would like to make you aware that approximately 150 metres from the property is a main railway line which for many, especially our younger visitors, enriches the village experience from which it must be said there is minimal sound pollution.

Why can't I call Vic / Rachel (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Vic / Rachel (the owner) a message.

If Vic / Rachel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
