Very comfortable and relaxing accommodation, situated in the village of Mithian nr. St. Agnes; one of the most attractive villages on the North Cornish Coast.

The passion flower creeper that clads Mithian Cottage produces a profuse array of exotic blooms and fruit each year leaving passers by in awe of its prolific growth. A sympathetic and carefully planned modern extension to the 18th century cottage, featuring reversed accommodation, this studio-style dwelling is perfect for a romantic break where couples can relax in seclusion and comfort. The living room is open into the roof with exposed timbers and large sloping Velux windows giving a light and airy aspect to the lounge area and the well-designed kitchen. Downstairs angular walls add a quaint quirkiness to a tastefully decorated ground-floor bedroom.

The property stands opposite a row of 16th-century thatched cottages and is situated on the edge of the tiny, picturesque village of Mithian. Reputedly one of the oldest villages in Cornwall, it has a cluster of thatched cottages together with (only 50 meters away) The Miners Arms, a 16th-century inn with an Elizabethan courtyard serving excellent beers and food.

Beaches are just 5 minutes drive away but this quiet, idyllic village is surrounded by delightful countryside offering numerous lovely walks.

Sleeping 4 max. Double bedroom; additional double sofa bed in the living room. Living room with Colour TV/MP3 player, Radio/CD player, Fibre Wi-Fi broadband, dining table and chairs. Kitchen area with electric hob and oven, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Shower room/WC with rain head shower, heated towel rail & shaver point. Oil central heating & electricity are included. Travel Cot (please bring your own bedding). Use of owner’s washing machine & tumble drier. Bed linen, down duvets, quality pillows and towels included (hypoallergenic bedding available on request). Please bring your own beach towels. Small patio area with garden furniture /BBQ. One/two well-behaved dogs welcome (£20 per dog/per booking or two dogs £30). Roadside parking outside property or in the adjacent pub car park. The pub has a small store for treats and essentials (open 10am-10pm) and the nearest shops are in St. Agnes (1.5 miles) or Perranporth (just under 2 miles).

House rules

If you are bringing a child or children please note that there is a comfortable sofa bed in the living area. We also have a cot for babies. There are 11 stairs between the ground and upper floor (we supply a stair gate for use if required) and the cottage has plenty of space for a couple - and can accommodate a family, but it is cosy. :)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Rebecca (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rebecca (the owner) a message.

If Rebecca (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
