From the owner

Wrens Nook is a beautiful Grade 2 listed Tin Miners Cottage, built in the 1700's and has been renovated to maintain its old world charm. Idyllically situated along a very narrow Cornish Lane - guests park next door on our driveway. You also have access to your own playing and picnic field

Wrens Nook is a unique place, suited to a family with children or a couple looking for a romantic getaway set in a beautiful Cornish Landscape. It's a mile walk to a lovely beach, which is safe for kids and has brilliant rock pooling, swimming and surfing. We've often got boogie boards knocking around and buckets and spades too - just ask. There's also easy access to the coastal path and lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

Once in the cottage your in a time machine. You will discover the quirky features of this cob and stone, listed building - it was built in 1714. Don't expect perfection - do expect authentic romanticism. You'll feel just like you are in a scene out of Poldark!! We have some wonderful sunsets, lots of peace and quiet and you might just want to curl up in front of the log burner with a good book, for the week.

The original part of the cottage is small and dainty and is now the sitting room - it's cosy and comfortable with a small TV and the Log Burner and the master bedroom. Nothing is king-sized here.

In the newer part of the cottage, we've added a garden/dining room which looks out toward the engine house. It attracts the sun and is a lovely space to sit and read or just to 'be'. Upstairs we have an ensuite with a gorgeous shower and bath.

Downstairs there is another combined shower and utility room with that all important beer fridge. We always leave you a small supply of washing powder and fabric conditioner as well as basic kitchen condiments.

This season we've added a Breakfast Bench in the front garden to catch the early sun and access to the picnic and playing field for garden games and fun.

Enjoy a real taste of Cornwall - the ambiance and the outdoor spaces are just fabulous and the surrounds are perfect for a run around or to a sit a while there with a coffee or a cheeky glass of wine.

Remember - the lane to the cottage is darned narrow! The benefit of this is there is no passing traffic - just a couple of passing horses and walkers.
