Comments from the Owner
I am a retired pharmacist from Devon, England. I have owned and visited the apartment for nearly 20 years. This is a beautiful area giving you an authentic taste of French rural life. There are many local market towns within a radius of 5 to 10 miles selling regional and seasonal products, and a range of restaurants from the simple Provencal home cooking to the more sophisticated such as Alain Ducas restaurant near Moustiers. My apartment has a good library of books, DVDS, great choice of music CDs, games,......and equipment for you to play tennis, boules. Also Picnic set and barbecue. Lac St Croix is only 10 minutes drive away and is ideal for picknicking and bathing in a glorious water side setting. Sailing and other water sports available on the lake. But of course you may prefer just to stay in the chateau grounds and enjoy the lovely swimming pool ! Inside the chateau in the height of summer it is cool ... sometimes a pleasant relief from the heat of the midday sun! In the evening it is delightfull to sit on the patio near the pool for a glass of wine or Pimms and just savour the sounds and smells of Provence Do visit the small restaurant in the Village...just 50 yards along from the Chateau very good meals at reasonable cost...LA REMISE
