Les Deux Chenes, The Farmhouse, is ideally placed for your holiday. Although south of the River Loire, it can be reached by early evening from any of the early morning ferry sailings from the south coast of England to Roscoff, Caen, Le Havre, Dieppe, Boulogne, Calais or Dunkerque.
The Farmhouse offers comfortable living for families or a group of friends with plenty of space inside and out
and each bedroom having its own shower, whb and toilet. Outside there is plenty of room to play games (some provided) or relax reading a book. Any bedding arrangement can be accommodated as each room has zip-link beds providing twin (6'6" long) or superking (6' wide x 6'6" long) double.

The kitchen will be supplied with a few items such as dishwasher tablets, cling film, aluminium film, and washing up liquid, to start you off with.

Although our holiday property is great for children, it is not ideal for 'very' young children (under the age of 5) .

Smoking is only allowed outside.

I do ask that music is not played outdoors nor audible outdoors.

Finally, I do request that prospective clients make an enquiry before they book; customer satisfaction is very important to me and I do wish to assure myself that my gite is exactly what you're expecting and will be right for you.

The Farmhouse has a spacious downstairs with 2 tv lounges and a kitchen/diner as well as access to a room with a bath and an 8 kg. waching machine,.
We provide plenty of good quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils. There is a very large upright fridge-freezer; a gas hob and electric oven; microwave; toaster; dishwasher.. Duvets and pillows have man-made fillings.
In each bedroom we provide shower towels for adults, hand towels and shower foot-mats.
Upstairs the showers and toilets are built in areas off the bedrooms.
The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite shower room with whb and wc.
Around the Pool are sun loungers and umbrellas for everyone. Please bring your own pool towels.
There is a charcoal BBQ and gas BBQ and large dining table for your use. We provide crockery etc. that can
be used out by the pool.

There are tables and chairs on the patios at the front and back of the house.

The pool, 10m x 5m and with Roman Steps, is heated to at least 28 degrees. There are no time restrictions on the use of the Pool, although we, the owners, like to cover the pool in the late evening so that, in conjunction with the heat pump, the pool is kept warm for the following morning.

Internet and wi-fi connection are available, free of charge.

The upstairs bedrooms each have a low wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table/lamps and space for your
cases and any other possessions.
The downstairs bedroom has 2 large wardrobes, one chest of drawers, dressing table with mirror and 8 drawers, bedside tables, a shelf above and along the back of the bed with built in adjustable lights above. It also has direct access to the en-suite shower room and the bath in one direction and direct access to the 2nd TV Lounge at the other.

The owners live in the Cottage nearby to the Farmhouse.

Les Deux Chenes, The Farmhouse is reached via a small drive off a country lane, where there is plenty of safe parking space. You will only have to carry your cases and shopping a few metres into the house.
We are situated in a tiny hamlet with 4 other properties. Apart from our very few neighbours, you will usually only hear farm vehicles going about their daily or seasonal business.

Our tennis court is beyond the front garden, whilst the swimming pool is in the back garden, thus you should not be disturbed by the sound of tennis balls being hit whilst relaxing around the pool.
Our heated pool, 10m x 5m with roman steps is open late May - late September inclusive.
On the East side of the property there are uninterrupted views across the fields to the hill-top village of Le Puy Notre Dame where you will find our nearest restaurants.
