Welcome to our renovated Chai (a winemaker's barn) with it's own underwater floodlit, heated pool, making it an ideal secluded holiday destination for family and friends. Home comforts, wood burning stove, large patio and veranda to sit out, relax and soak up the sun during the day and watch it set at night.

Peace and quiet whenever you want it, yet close to village bars, restaurants, beach / city day trips and the famous Chateaux of Bordeaux. Le Chai offers you all the ingredients for a memorable break.

The high ceilings of this converted barn make it cool in the heat of the day, yet the wood stove renders it cosy after sundown. The well equipped kitchen with range cooker and American fridge freezer allows you to prepare fresh French foods washed down with local wines at your leisure. The dining and lounge areas comfortably allow groups of 10, the space to stretch out and rest after a hard day lazing by the pool.There are two double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, two twin rooms, a family bathroom and a separate WC. The mezzanine adds character to the barn and with 2 double sofa beds accommodation can be increased to sleep 10. In the evenings TV / DVD in the lounge, a sing song around the piano, a pool tournament or a last dip before bedtime all make for those holiday memories.

The property is set in 1/3 acre of land that used to be vineyard. The private pool is 12 x 6 meters and purposely built deep enough for the spring board. The surrounding large patio is equipped with sun loungers for all, a gazebo to provide shade when needed and brick BBQ. The patio furniture seats 10 and cane armchairs allow you enjoy the sunsets from the veranda. There is secure parking for up to 4 cars. There are 4 bicycles which can be used for a morning ride through the vineyards to the boulangerie or further afield for the adventurous.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nick & Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Nick & Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
