Ellie's Spa Cottage is a delightful romantic holiday cottage situated right in the heart of the beautiful historic seaside village of Stanley. It features a double corner hydrotherapy massage spa with bathrobes, toiletries, candles and soft towels provided. The bedroom has a lovely romantic ambience, with a pillow top queen size bed fitted with top quality pillows, luxury bedding and electric blanket.

The well equipped kitchenette / dining area features Tasmanian Blackwood timbers, and the lounge area has quality soft leather recliners, reverse cycle air conditioner / heat pump, flat screen TV, DVD and CD player plus a good selection of DVD's and books. A guest compendium lists all the cafes, restaurants and shops, all near by (within a 20m - 500m walk), and there are brochures of things to see and do in and around Stanley.

The Spa Cottage comes all inclusive with generous continental breakfast provisions, port, chocolates, plenty of soft towels and linen, toiletries and candles.

The Spa cottage is close to all the lovely cafes, restaurants and shops, and only a leisurely 250 metre walk to beautiful sandy beaches, and clear blue ocean (beach towels are provided).

There is a large deck with outdoor furniture and views over the township of Stanley, exclusively for our Spa Cottage guests.

We provide private off street parking at no cost, right beside the accommodation.

Stanley is well known for its delightful cafes and restaurants, specialising in local seafood, prime grass fed beef and lamb and house baked treats to savor. Explore the quaint galleries and shops which dot the main street. For the golfing enthusiasts just a short walk from the accommodation is a nine hole golf course right on the waterfront, with golf clubs for hire. Stanley boasts great fishing. Wildlife is in abundance, with seal cruises operating from Stanley wharf, and little penguins can be easily spotted coming back to their homes on twilight at the base of The Nut during the Spring and Summer months. The Nut chairlift is a must do while in Stanley, where at 152m above sea level you will experience 360 deg. awesome views extending far and wide from our 7km peninsula. There are historic homes in Stanley which are open for public viewing, including Highfield House and Joe Lyons cottage. There are 4 WD tours of the majesticTarkine Rainforests (or self drive if you wish), there are beautiful falls close by, Blue Hills Honey Farm and 2 river cruises operating daily just 50 minutes drive from Stanley. This is just a sample of what this delightful and charming area has to offer. You will need several days to fully capture all the sights and take it all in.

I don't live on site, however I am only a phone call away, so guests can call me and I can be there in just a few minutes if need be. I am more than happy to meet with guests is they wish, or if guests prefer to be totally private, this is absolutely fine.

Ellie's Spa Cottage is strictly non-smoking, this includes no cigarette butts to be placed in the indoor bins. There is an outdoor deck area for guests if they wish to smoke outdoors only.

I ask guests to treat the accommodation with the utmost respect, and leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy state.
Any breakages/damage to be reported to the owner prior to departure and a fee may be charged at the discretion of the owner depending on the extent of damage.

Why can't I call Ellie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ellie (the owner) a message.

If Ellie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
