From the manager

With two bedrooms, this cottage has been tastefully and considerately restored to offer accommodation for up to three people, making it an idyllic hideaway for small families. This stone-built cottage offers privacy and seclusion for couples or small families looking to spend some time together. All the accommodation is laid out over a single storey and is arranged in an open plan style. The views of Morecambe Bay and the Kentmere Valley are truly remarkable and the patio gives visitors the opportunity to indulge in a spot of alfresco dining during the hazy summer evenings. In the colder months, the property is turned into a warm and cosy snug, being heated by storage radiators and an atmospheric woodburning stove.

Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Amenities: Electric heaters and radiators with woodburner in sitting area. Double electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD. High speed, super fast broadband. Electricity and fuel for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Patio with garden furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: No fireworks due to the proximity of animals. Note: If you wish to charge your electric vehicle at the property, please consult with the owner.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone's throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. Ambleside, the centre of English mountaineering, is also close by offering visitors the chance to go climbing.

Response from the manager
Wow! Thank you so much for this fantastic feedback! We couldn't be happier that yourselves, and of course your dog, had such a lovely holiday. We hope that you do join us again for another holiday, and hopefully for longer next time!
