From the manager

Semi-detached barn conversion near Staveley in Lake District National Park, with three bedrooms accommodating six people. Ghyll Bank Cow Shed is a wonderful, semi-detached barn conversion a short drive from Staveley, a South Lakeland village near Lake Windermere. The cottage has three bedrooms, a double on the ground floor and two upstairs with the zip/link option of being two singles or a super king-size double bed. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor, and two shower rooms upstairs. The kitchen is bright and well-equipped, with stairs leading down into the sitting room and dining area. Doors open onto the patio with garden furniture, so you can sit with a drink and enjoy beautiful, far-reaching views of the fells. There is also plenty of off road parking. A fantastic base for friends and families.

Amenities: Oil central heating with ground floor underfloor heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD. High speed, super fast broadband. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Front terrace with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: No fireworks due to the proximity of animals. Note: Three steps from kitchen to sitting room, and one step down into the kitchen and bathroom. Note: If you wish to charge your electric vehicle at the property, please consult with the owner.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone's throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. Ambleside, the centre of English mountaineering, is also close by offering visitors the chance to go climbing.
