Tuishuisie offers a luxurious alternative to the traditional hotel stay. This contemporary apartment is situated in the historic centre of the town of Stellenbosch - in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

The apartment is a modernextension of one of the oldest buildings in Stellenbosch – Tuishuisie – and offers ideal self-catering luxury and comfort in a private setting, while close to all amenities and attractions.

While enjoying this superb location, you can relax in luxury. Set in the oak-lined Ryneveld Street, numerous quaint coffee shops, excellent restaurants, museums and other historic sites are literally on your doorstep.

Tuishuisie is two story apartment offering three en suite bedrooms, each with a balcony. It sleeps up to six persons (3 couples sharing) and offers ample living room space. The living area is spacious and filled with natural light with solid oak floors and large windows. Patio doors stack open up to a patio with a wooden deck where you can lounge in the shadow of an enormous 200-year old oak tree. The living area includes the open plan kitchen with seating for six, and a comfy couch ideal for lazy afternoons or snug winter evenings in front of a Nordic wood burning stove.

The kitchen is well-appointed. It has a fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, the usual electric appliances and a dishwasher. A desk with generous lighting and lockable drawers is provided for the corporate client who may need working space.

All three bedrooms are en suite and open up to private balconies. The main bedroom is upstairs and adjoins the living area, while the other two are downstairs and lead out of the main hallway. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and towels are provided. The laundry on the ground floor is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and provides storage for bicycles or luggage if needed.

Other features include air-conditioning and a flat screen television with free access to Netflix. Wifi is free and fast. The apartment has an extensive security system and entry control, and off-site parking is provided on request.

Dear Candice and Jason. Thank you for your review. Once again we apologise for this extremely unfortunate event. We understand that it must have caused you severe discomfort and distress. This was completely unintentional and caused us much embarrasment and anxiety as it was entirely my mistake. In all fairness I just have to note that once I have realised what the situation was we returned your deposit within minutes, and although you initially refused our help in searching for alternative accommodation we did spend the same few hours looking for a suitable place in your price range which you chose not to take up. We also offered to pay the difference in costs. But, with that all being said, it should never have happened. Once again our sincere apologies. If you ever are in the area again and feel like staying with us we will give you one night's complimentary accommdation in the hope that it will make it up to you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Aletta (the owner) a message.

If Aletta (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
