Nestled among the vines of our Wine Estate, offering spectacular views, this independent one bedroomed Flatlet with kitchenette/lounge area and a small private garden offers self-catering accommodation for two, or accompanied by a small child.

The flatlet consists of bedroom with a queen size bed. We will also make available a small foldaway bed or cot for young child or baby. A kitchen, living room area with full cooking facilities, fridge. A private stoop with loungers and table, chairs Braai (barbecue). A private garden with small lawn.

Guests will have access to the main house pool and loungers.

Owners Quint and Floriane Cutler will be available to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. A free wine tasting is offered to all Guests.

Domaine Coutelier is situated on the old 17th Century Devon Vale farm, set on a plateau between Devon Valley and Devon Vale, which was split in the 1950’s into smaller portions. The Domaine consists of a four hectare plot. Grapes have been grown on this land for decades.

Visible to the East are the mountains of Simonsberg, Groot Drakenstein, Jonkershook, Stellenbosch, Helderberg with the Hottentots –Holland to the South, Paarl Rock and surrounding mountains to the North East, Durbanville Hills and Cape Town Suburbs to the North West.

Domaine Coutelier is within the Bottelary Road ward of Stellenbosch, although Wine of Origin Stellenbosch is indicated on the labels (and Coastal region for the Durbanville Hills wines).

The Domaine offers great walks through vineyards directly from the property. Wine tasting is on offer at the Domaine and all guests are offered a free wine tasting.

For keen mountain bikers, the Domaine is within the heart of the Bottelary Hills MTB Trails where there are dedicated, well-marked routes. The rolling hillsides feature vineyards, farmland, conservation areas and trails comprised of farm roads, jeep tracks and numerous single tracks. While never too technical there are challenging climbs and a variety of distances on offer for riders of all fitness levels. A Mediterranean climate prevails providing cold wet winters and hot dry summers.

For Golfers, the property is a mere 2 kilometres from Devon Vale Golf Course.

The Domaine is 15-minutes from the heart of the historical town of Stellebosch with great bars and restaurants.

A 35-minute drive to Cape Town gives makes our Domaine an ideal location for traveller’s, pleasure seekers and explorers alike.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Quint (the owner) a message.

If Quint (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
