Bankend farmhouse near Stirling was built around the turn of the last century, set in outstanding countryside ,surrounded by fantastic views. It offers a high standard of accommodation and comfort. It has a great location and makes exploring Scotland very easy from this idyllic base I The house has been recently restored and offers 2 double bedrooms,2 twin rooms and 1 triple room,all with glorious views, of Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Downstairs there are 2 public rooms , as well as a large kitchen with dining area seating 10 and a large modern shower room. The main sitting room looks directly at Stirling Castle , A lovely wood burning stove and flat screen TV are in the second sitting room close to the large kitchen /dining area which leads via French doors to all fresco dining and barbecue area. There is ample space for cars at the back door.

This lovely home is equally suited to a small number of guests, it has a great feel and rather than feeling huge it just seems to evolve , it's a tardus !

It has a unique location, being close to town and main road network only a couple of miles away, yet it's a peaceful beautiful setting .

This house has 5 bedrooms, downstairs we have 1 king bed and 1 twin room, upstairs we have 1 king bedroom and 2 more twin bedrooms. One has 3 single beds All bedrooms are large, light and have superb views over the surrounding countryside. They have superior mattresses which are new, lovely bed linen and large bath towels.

The front garden enclosed enjoys morning sunshine, and the patio collects all the afternoon sun. This unique house can cater very easily for large and small groups.

we ask you to be respectuful of the house,leave it as you find it. We aim for a very high standard for our guests.
We want everyone to enjoy our lovely house. The person booking the house will be held responsible, and if damage , or excessive cleaning is required the deposit will be used.
Can you please remove the used bed linen form the beds before you depart.


Dogs must bring own beds or cage, must not be left unattended in house.
All electric lights switched off when no one in the house.

Bankend Farm was perfect for us. Located close to Stirling Castle, grocery and cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. We booked a couple of day tours which left from those cities and it worked out perfectly… More

Cold and disappointing

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Val (the owner) a message.

If Val (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
