Chestnut Barn is a delightful one bedroom stone built barn conversion which is self contained with its own separate entrance, and is located just behind Chestnut Cottage in the lovely village of Stoney Middleton. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with care. We include the breakfast as a pack which will be provided for you. The price quoted is for two people sharing the property, there is a cost of £25.00 for an additional person.

We are dog friendly, and allow one small/medium sized dog on condition they stay on the ground floor, with an extra charge of £10.00 per night.

The village is in an ideal location renowned for walking, pot holing, climbing, cycling, horse riding or just relaxing and enjoying the beauties of the Peak District. From the door there are many lovely walks including over to the famous plague village of Eyam, along the banks of the River Derwent, or up picturesque Coombs Dale. Five minutes away is the 'Monsal Trail' and cycle hire is available here.

Just across the road is 'The Moon Inn' the cosy village pub which offers excellent meals, and is dog friendly. Further along the road is 'Curry Cottage at Lovers Leap Indian Restaurant' a very popular eatery, and also the excellent Toll Bar Fish and Chip shop.(Selected by 'The Telegraph' as one of their best seven fish and chip shops) Local 'Take-aways' are available delivered from Hope Valley Pizza's and from the Indian Restaurant.

One mile down the road at Calver crossroads there is a petrol station which stocks newspapers. Opposite this is a large Spar for all general provisions, (many from local suppliers), fresh bread baked on the premises, and a large selection of beers and wines.

Through the archway double patio doors you will find a homely lounge with a sofa which can be used as a double bed and two bucket chairs. There is an LCD Flat screen TV with DVD and Play Station 2 with assorted games, a DAB radio/Bluetooth/sound system, and many books and games for your use.

The kitchen /Dining Room is fully equipped with everything you will need for your comfort – including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, ironing board/iron, toaster and kettle. The pine farmhouse table has four chairs, and there is ample crockery, glassware and cooking equipment available

Upstairs the bedroom sleeps two and there is a wardrobe and a chest of drawers within the room, a wall mounted Flat screen TV and a hairdryer is provided.

The Shower room is located off the lounge and is fitted with a large electric shower, wash hand basin, wc and heated towel rail.

How do damage deposits work?
