Bend in the River Lodge on the banks of the River Avon with panoramic views

A fully equipped modern luxury lodge, with panoramic river and countryside views. A bird watcher's and fisherman's paradise. The South facing deck is a perfect place for dining, relaxing and enjoying the views. Less than 1 mile to the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, either take the river boat taxi (operates between Easter and end of October), cycle or walk into the town along the riverside path.

The centrally heated Lodge has a lounge, dining area and kitchen with views across the river, flat screen TV, DVD, CD Player and cosy fire place, fully equipped kitchen including electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The Master Bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and fitted wardrobe. There is also a full family bathroom with bath and shower. All bed linen and towels are provided as is an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Free WIFI is available. There is a grassy area leading down to the river and parking for 2 cars at the side of the Lodge.

The lodge is in an ideal location for exploring all the attractions of beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's county, historic Warwick and the Cotswolds. There is over a mile and a half of free fishing on the river alongside the Lodge.

All bookings are made with the owners, Rob and Denny, who will ensure that your stay at Bend in the River Lodge is delightful. They will assist you with any enquiries and there is a comprehensive range of leaflets and maps and an information book in the lodge to help you plan your visits to local attractions.

RIVERBOAT TAXI
There is a riverboat taxi that leaves every 30 minutes from the opposite side of the river (you can catch it by crossing the walk bridge) to take you into Stratford. You can also walk into Stratford along the riverside walk.

2 km of free fishing on the River Avon for guests. The fishing season is from the 16th June to 16th March, a rod license is required. Perch, Bream, Roach, Chub, Barbel, and Pike are among the catches

Why can't I call Rob and Denny (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Rob and Denny (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rob and Denny (the owner) a message.

If Rob and Denny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
