The company, with organic certification, covers about 70 acres in the hills near Cork, formerly the ancient castle and now a tiny fraction of the municipality of Montaione, in the province of Florence. The company offers accommodation in apartments and houses, private swimming pool and tennis and typical Tuscan restaurant.

The wonderful location of Poggio, guarantees an unforgettable holiday in contact with nature in the Green and peaceful hills of Tuscany: only 5 minutes away from the old and tiny village of Sughera, close to Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Volterra completes the picture of this beautiful complex. Easily accessible: the famous city of towers, San Gimignano, Certaldo, San Miniato, Chianti Classico, in addition to significant hikes in colourful and characteristic Tuscan villages up to the Tyrrhenian coast (approx. 60 km).

For those who do not want to use its own resources, the local transport company organizes guided bus tours in Florence, Monteriggioni, Siena, Pisa and Lucca.

The company offers its guests a large swimming pool (20x10m), a small pool for children, playground for children, game-bowling, basketball/volleyball court, tennis court, table tennis, barbecue, possibility to rent mountain bikes and horseback riding nearby, selling oil, wine, saffron, spelt and seasonal products of own production.

For trekking lovers there are many stages that you can go mountain biking for the well-being and relaxation of body and mind. For those who prefer to play golf just 15 minutes is an international field to 16 holes (Castelfalfi Golf Club).

You can take riding lessons at only 3 miles away and, for those who wish, riding tours are organised by half a day or even all day (with lunch) that allow you to enjoy the pleasures that the Tuscan countryside provides about visitors.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
