"Casa Manana," the name affectionately assigned this beautiful gated property in Summerland (Ramrod) Key, is a uniquely situated private waterfront venue. Enter through the gates and you will immediately be transported into the tranquil, easygoing and thoroughly relaxing Keys lifestyle. Located on greater than half an acre of peninsula-like land, this recently updated house provides the spacious feeling of a resort. Inside, each room is newly painted, uncluttered and tastefully furnished. While the property is available for long term rental, it is also available for short term vacations and can very comfortably accommodate and provide individual privacy for up to ten people. Privacy when you want it---and large social areas for gathering. It is perfectly suited for family reunions, friendly gatherings, and/or a spacious and romantic getaway for just the two of you. Tropical sea breezes naturally cool the entire house, and central air conditioning is always available. Each bedroom is set apart from the others, with its own bath and shower and private entrance. Additionally, there is a lovely renovated detached air-conditioned bungalow above the 3 car garage. There are four family rooms located on both levels, each with televisions (one a 72 inch screen). A large kitchen with a separate dining area will make preparing meals a pleasure. Private areas exist throughout the property: take a nap in a hammock under the swaying palms, sit at the dock enjoying your morning coffee and touch your toes to the Caribbean blue water, snorkel, fish, read a book or listen to music on a lounge chair, kayak and observe the bountiful water life: sea turtles, dolphins, rays, egrets, etc., barbecue with friends and family, and watch your children and pets play on the grassy lawn. End your day relaxing on the upper or lower decks enjoying infinity views of the bay and star-studded heavens. The property faces the bay east and west, with wraparound decks and spectacular views of sunrise and sunset, tidal shifts and wildlife. Barrier islets (small keys) between the property and the Atlantic Ocean provide a tranquil experience. There is a boat basin for your water toys: boats (up to 26 feet), water boards, kayaks, jet skis, tubes, fishing rods, snorkeling gear, or simply for taking a refreshing dip in the tropical waters of this part of the Atlantic. Bicycle and walking paths are easily accessible. Also located within a few blocks of this gated property are both fine and casual restaurants, a popular scuba diving/snorkeling excursion operation, miniature golf, ice cream shops, etc. Bahia Honda, one of Florida's most beautiful state parks and natural sanctuaries, is a fifteen minute drive north, while the colorful and festive hubbub of Key West is within a half hour's scenic cruise south .
