The house is wonderfully furnished in a rustic style with many antique pieces, beamed ceilings, stone walls and beautiful wooden, stone and terracotta floors.

The house is accessed down a steep drive. The main entrance of the house leads into the sitting room, full of character this room is home to an old grindstone, fireplace, pretty white tiled woodstove and antique pieces adorning the stone walls. A low stone arch separates this room from the dining area.

The large kitchen features a fireplace in the centre of the room that can be used as a barbecue, dining table, woodstove, hob with four gas rings, electric plate, electric oven, large fridge, separate freezer, two sinks, dishwasher and coffee maker. A doorway takes you out onto the covered terrace at the back of the house with a pizza oven and access to the garden area.

Steps lead up from the kitchen to a small corridor and a staircase up to the third level. On this floor is a lovely double room with an iron bed, small sitting room with fireplace and a sofa bed that can be made into a bunk bed (suitable for children). This room interconnects with another beautiful double room with an iron bed. Also on this level are two bathrooms, one with shower, basin, bidet and WC and the other with shower, two basins, bidet and WC.

The fourth level has a small open twin room and a bathroom with bath, two basins, bidet and WC. A door leads from the landing to a small terrace to the rear of the house with steps up to the natural swimming pool. A wooden staircase takes you up to the fifth level into the tower, which features a double room with painted iron bed, and a beautiful white tiled woodstove. From here there is access directly onto the terrace and swimming pool.

Il Torrente is in a isolated setting, surrounded by four hectares of fenced woodland. There is a spring only a short stroll away from the house where you may help yourself to delicious spring-water. In the grounds, the owner has provided table tennis and an area where you can play tennis, volleyball or five-a-side football. There is a heated Jacuzzi in the garden, large enough to seat 8, a medium sized swimming pool, and two delightful natural pools.

The ancient villages of Talla and Pontenano are approximately 1 mile from Il Torrente. Here, you will find a variety of shops and restaurants. Bibbiena is only 9 miles away with its supermarket, hospital, banks and shops. The Casentino valley is one of the most notable districts for ancient history, even the smallest villages are well worth a visit. The National Park near Talla has 800km of routes and paths, perfect for nature lovers and full of interesting things to see. There are picturesque mountain villages just waiting to be explored where you will find pieces of art and history in tiny mountain churches.

The owner can provide catering if required.

This property features a number of natural pools and therefore is not suitable for children under 5
