Sunrise at the dOme

At the edge of the charming towns of Taos and Arroyo Seco, minutes from the Taos ski basin, a unique vacation home, Sunrise at the dOme, awaits you. Situated on land with glorious mountain views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range that shimmers in purple and crimson at sunset, the dOme is a stunning geometric structure that has just been completely renovated and transformed by a noted Colorado architect, Taos craftsmen, and its visionary owner. Here you will enjoy two bedrooms, a large sleeping loft, TWO luxurious bathrooms, beautiful kitchen, separate dining room with soaring beamed ceilings, living room with bar, TV and an efficient woodburning stove, travertine floors, as well as a deep warming sauna room. A BRAND NEW LARGE HOT TUB has been added with an outdoor stone fireplace area! A step and deck system has been built to have your cocktails on the top of the hill to watch the gorgeous sunset and alpine glow on the mountains.

All rooms have amazing views; no detail has been spared in creating a unforgettable and comfortable vacation home to enchant you. This is a gated secure property on two acres, one of which is pasture with a corral; along its perimeter is a flowing creek. If your pet is a horse, you can bring it along.

Located at the Three Mile Marker off of State Road 150 or called Ski Valley Road, between the town of Taos and Taos Ski Valley. This is a private gated home on two acres.

Google Maps can have some difficulty with the street address but copy and paste these GPS coordinates into Google Maps to make getting there easy - 36°30'03.7"N 105°35'33.9"W

I have an acre of pasture and a corral on my full two acres, so you can bring your horse.

The creek coming off the mountain runs through the perimeter of the home. Slippers await you as you enter the home.

The home is two bedrooms with a large loft with a spiral staircase. Each of the bedrooms have a king and the loft has a queen and a Euro lounge that opens to a full size bed. Robes are in the bedroom closets. The home can sleep 8 but 9 is possible. The gorgeous bathrooms have double sinks, separate showers with the mountain views and the a single jacuzzi bath tub in one bath and in the master bath, a double person tub. There is a laundry room with full size front loading machines. Hydro Solar panels add to the green factor of this special home.

Kitchen is fully equipped with a large kitchen bar. I am a 'foodie' so you will find all you need to cook up that gourmet meal..from the seasonings to the oils are left for your usage. There is a Formal dining room with THE VIEW sits 10.

The master also has its own Kitchenette!

The dOme space is your living area wth a large flat screen TV and a wood burning stove, and lots of sitting areas. Dry bar with all the assortments of wine and cocktail glasses for your entertaining needs. Full front load laundry in the laundry room.

Radiate heat from the floor.

Full Size Sauna to warm up the muscles after a day of hiking or making the turns on the mountain.

This is a $500 a night place for So MUCH LESS!!! Amazing value.

Contact Ellen if you want to rent one part of the home for less. There is options to rent only the dome and first bedroom or just the master section.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ellen (the owner) a message.

If Ellen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
