Built in the 1890's with 20' thick adobe walls. This 1 bedroom 1 bath has been updated with all the modern amenities yet has the feel of old Taos. Minutes from the plaza with easy access to the gorge bridge, Taos Ski Valley or Rancho de Taos.

Set in a peaceful, quiet rural location, this 800 sq.Ft. casita offers a comfortable living space for two. A roomy bedroom with a queen bed is separate from the kitchen/living room. There's a full bath with a tub/shower. The kitchen has a gas stove and all the necessary small appliances, pots and pans and dinnerware. Just bring your food and beverages! There's also a BBQ for outdoor cooking.

Plenty of parking, this house stands on it's own, it's not part of a larger residence. Ready for you to enjoy yourselves without disturbing or being disturbed by others.

Clear directions for access to the house will be given about a week or so before your arrival. Located about 2 miles west from the plaza, it offers easy access to either end of town without having to go through the town center. Quiet rural setting in a mixed neighborhood of older Taos homes and upscale bed and breakfasts. Down the road is Hacienda Martinez, a museum of an old working Spanish farm. Also, Ranchos de Taos church is less than a 10 minute drive away.

It's about a 25 minute walk to the plaza or about 5 minutes by car and there are nice bike rides in the area also. Taos ski valley is a 35 minute drive.

The house is heated with a charming gas log stove. The thick adobe walls give passive cooling in the summer.

Home away from home. Great little space, not cramped, that met or exceeded our needs. Cute adobe. Nicely situated off the beaten path. Communication was perfect. Would certainly revisit.

Amazing Casita amongst beautiful Taos

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Elizabeth (the owner) a message.

If Elizabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
