Welcome in The Wantilan, a superb Balinese holiday retreat in the North of Bali. The house is situated in Tejakula, 25 km east of Singaraja and 50 meter from the beach of the Bali-sea. With a surface of totally 400 m2 The Wantilan can easily have four guests.

The rental price throughout the year is EUR 90/night for 4 persons, including breakfast and staff service.

Onderneem een strandwandeling, onze buren zijn vissers, koop 's morgens vroeg een tonijn op het strand en geniet daar nog dezelfde avond van, verser kan vis niet zijn. Of ga 's morgens vroeg naar de lokale markt in het dorp en vergeet dan niet om uw fototoestel mee te nemen. Bezoek de historische paardenbadplaats in het dorpscentrum of duik met snorkel in zee en ontdek het koraal in de onderwaterwereld voor de deur (snorkels aanwezig).

VOOR DE LIEFHEBBERS VAN KUNST EN KULTUUR

Maak een uitstapje naar Ubud, Bedugul, de waterval van Gitgit of de Besakih-tempel, een Engels sprekende chauffeur is uw gids. Bezoek de mooiste musea op Bali (NEKA, BLANCO, ARMA) en vergeet dan niet de centrale markt in Ubud te bezoeken.

DE OMGEVING

Het dorp Tejakula is een van de oudste nederzettingen in Noord-Bali. De omgeving is bij menig fotograaf bekend vanwege zijn mooie lichtval: vooral bij zonsopgang en zonsondergang biedt de omgeving prachtige momenten voor fotografie. Het dorp heeft er zelfs haar naam aan te danken (“Teja” = licht/gloed, “kula” = wij/dorp), vrij vertaald: het dorp met het mooie licht.

Tejakula is geen toeristenplaats, integendeel, het dorp ontleent zijn charme in de eerste plaats aan de Balinese traditie, vooral aan een traditie in Muziek en Dans: praktisch elke week is er wel ergens een uitvoering in of rond het dorp, waarbij gasten steeds van harte welkom zijn.
