The property is sited on half an acre, on this picturesque Island, and is ideally placed near to the sea. It boasts some of the most spectacular views on the Island and the house has been designed with this in mind.

The nearest (shale) beach is visible and within easy walking distance from the house. Equally the small fishing village of Portmagee with award winning pubs, restaurants and post office can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes.

This house provides the opportunity to access the rugged Kerry countryside and an excellent base to tour the famous ring of kerry and beyond.The Island itself offers a wealth of activities including angling, diving, and island cruise charters are available at both Portmagee and Knightstown piers, and you can enjoy the freshly caught seafood in the local restaurants.

Valentia Island is an undiscovered paradise for many and a well kept secret by those that return year after year to holiday here.

The owner/ house keeper will be on hand to meet and answer any questions on arrival. Bedding,linen/towels are included in the hire cost however electric and oil central heating are metered and paid locally, in euro, at the end of the holiday let.

The house was constructed and completed in 1998. It is heated with oil central heating it also has a solid fuel stove in the kitchen / dining area and an electric stove in the main sitting room. The property is furnished to a high standard and comprises of an entrance hall with a window looking over Portmagee channel to the Kerry mountains. Access to the main living room, featuring a fireplace with an electric stove and a panoramic bay window capatalising on the spectacular views. Furthermore guests can benefit from wifi TV. Leading from the hall is the entrance to the open plan Kitchen/Dining area with all modern appliances including 5 ring hob and separate double oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A dining table with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The utility room is located off the kitchen and houses a washing machine and dryer and under the counter freezer. Also located on the ground floor a large shower room with toilet and electric shaving point. In addition to the rooms already described there is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes. There is a children's bedroom with bunkbeds and a cot on the downstairs floor. Off the upstairs landing are three bedrooms and the main family bathroom. The front room has 2 single beds and fitted wardrobes with stunning sea views, the main bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and is ensuite with a walk in wardrobe and with a further bedroom that has double bed and shower ensuite. This room commands both sea and mountain views to the front and side of the property. The family bathroom, features a bath with electric shaver point, toilet and hand basin.

The house has a spacious garden with outdoor seating with beautiful views of the channel and the mountains. A lovely place to to sit and watch the sun going down in this tranquil idyllic setting - the choice is yours! To the front of the house there is ample parking for several cars and gardens.

    Marie offers a great house with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and all home comforts on hand. The whole area is beautiful and we found the people friendly and welcoming.

    If Marie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
