From the owner

The holiday home "Alte Schule Tetenbüll" was built on a mound in the romantic town of Eiderstedt Tetenbüll, around 1860. In February 2020, the AlteSchule and neighboring buildings were classified as a cultural monument. The school used to consist of 2 main buildings, one for the younger students, one for the higher classes. At that time, the teacher lived in the first floor of the first building. The lessons took place on the ground floor. Today the rear part of the 1st building is available for vacation rental. There is plenty of room for children to run around. In our half of the old school we have 2 living rooms (one 40sqm and one 30sqm), 1 large eat-in kitchen and another kitchenette in the upper living room. There are 4 beautiful bedrooms for a total of 9-10 people, 2 bathrooms, 1 guest toilet and a large terrace with a view of the garden. We renovated our half at the beginning of 2017, and great importance was attached to largely maintaining the charm of the old house. There is 1 baby bed and 2 high chairs available for the little ones. A large terrace belongs to the holiday home, from here you can see the wonderfully enchanted and natural garden with old fruit trees and a large, protected yew tree. Families with children are very welcome. The 1700 sqm garden is shared with the other half of the old school.

Today used as residential buildings and partly at the beginning of the 20th century extended buildings are eaves-like brick houses under thatched hipped roofs with a central dwarf house. One of the last vivid examples of historic village centers in North Frisia ”

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ingo (the owner) a message.

    If Ingo (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
