Set in 3 acres of land, at the end of a quiet country lane, there is no traffic and no noise, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular surroundings without distraction.All three cottages have been restored to a very high standard, retaining their rustic charm while still offering you all the home comforts you will need for your stay. From the wide oak floors and original stone walls to the beautifully renovated wooden worktops, each house has bags of charm and character that will make your stay with us truly special.A lovingly restored 300 year old cottage, l'hermite is the perfect rural retreat. Sleeping up to 6 people with 2 double bedrooms and one bedroom with 2 singles, it is ideal for a family or couples looking to holiday together. With its own private terrace, outdoor dining area and newly installed pool (5.80 diam.) , l'Hermite enjoys spectacular views over the valley and the surrounding countryside.The house itself comprises a 40 meter square living area with open plan kitchen and dining area. Leading on to a cosy sitting area with a traditional fireplace and wood burning stove, perfect for those winter evenings.The first floor also includes one large double bedroom and bathroom with double sinks and 2 showers.The house, while traditional in style, offers all the modern comforts, fully equipped kitchen, TV, CD and WiFi.Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom and a third bedroom with 2 single beds, perfect for younger members of the family. l'Hermite is situated in the very heart of the Vézère Valley (Unesco world heritage) and the area is of a breathtaking beauty. I agree! But -like you discovered- don't miss the food. Did you know about the black truffle markets in winter? Next time perhaps?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tineke (the owner) a message.

If Tineke (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
