NO BOOKING FEE The Mistal is a recently completed two bedroom barn conversion situated in beautiful countryside overlooking the Hambleton Hills and approximately 4 miles from the historic market town of Thirsk ( the home of James Herriot and the Yorkshire Vet) and with easy access to the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

The luxury accommodation comprises: on the ground floor an open plan living/dining/kitchen with underfloor heating and a feature wood burning stove. The lounge has a Smart TV and DVD and there is good wi fi connection throughout the property. There is also a downstairs cloakroom/WC. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops, built in oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge, freezer, nespresso machine and dishwasher. There is a full size double sofa bed which can provide additional/alternative sleeping accommodation for up to two extra persons (additional charge of £25 per person, per night, please enquire).

On the first floor there are two bedrooms with superking or king sized zip and link beds which can be split into singles if required. Each bedroom has a TV and an en suite shower room. The bedrooms are connected by a galleried walkway overlooking the vaulted living area.

Outside there is a private south facing patio with seating and a BBQ.

There is a separate guest laundry with washing machine and tumble drier which guests are welcome to use.

On site there is a newly re-surfaced tennis court available for use by guests free of charge as well as a large stable block and ménage ( livery and grazing is available for visitor's own horses - extra charge, please enquire with the owners). There is also a play area for children with swings, slide, trampoline and see-saw and a well stocked coarse fishing lake which guests are welcome to use, again free of charge. Cyclists are particularly welcome and we can provide secure indoor storage as well as washing facilities for bikes.

There is a very popular local pub serving excellent home cooked food within easy walking distance ( food served Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, booking well in advance necessary). The property is on a national cycling route and there are numerous footpaths and bridle ways in the area making it an ideal location for cycling, walking and riding. The market towns of Thirsk and Northallerton with their shops, cafes and restaurants are within easy reach and the property's central position makes it very convenient for visiting the attractions of the Moors and the Dales. York and Harrogate are just a 30-40 minute drive away.
