Situated in a quiet & tranquil corner of the beautiful village of Thornton-in-Craven and enjoying outstanding far reaching views across the stunning rolling hills & moors, Fernside Cottage offers luxury accommodation making it an ideal retreat for couples. Walkers will delight in the adjacent Pennine Way and the Yorkshire Dales are just a very short drive away. The historic market town of Skipton with it's 4 days of market is just 5 miles away and has a wealth of interesting shops, the Leeds to Liverpool canal & not forgetting the embsay steam railway for the perfect day trip. The settle to Carlisle railway is just a short distance. There is also a very frequent bus service to many places of interest with the bus stop just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Leave your car & take the bus.

Fernside Cottage is furnished and decorated to a particularly high standard, the bedroom has a luxurious sleigh bed with new 2000 spring mattress ensuring a restful nights sleep and for colder evenings there is the added luxury of electric blankets. The lounge, with it's breathtaking views has a sofa and 2 armchairs - one reclining, while the kitchen and dining area on the ground floor enjoy patio doors to the front which also have views across the valley to the moors and a small terrace with seating. The property boasts television in the kitchen, bedroom and lounge and the kitchen is well equipped with fridge, oven, Nespresso coffee machine,microwave, dishwasher & washing machine

For those who wish to eat al fresco, a private enclosed lawned garden and patio has a rattan seating area and is ideal for lazy summer evenings.

The cottage itself, while totally private and with it's own entrance and garden, is next door to my own residence and I will always greet you and show you around. Once you are happy with everything I shall totally respect your privacy but will be available should you need me for any reason.

Why can't I call Pauline (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Pauline (the owner) a message.

If Pauline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
