Situated in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the historic Pilgrim's Way in the quiet hamlet of Thurnham, Thurnham Keep Stables (34' x 12') is perfectly located for peaceful sanctuary, whilst still being within easy access of Kent's many places to visit.With woodlands, beautiful walks along the North Downs Way, countryside cycle routes and nearby golf courses, the Stables provides a peaceful holiday location. Yet the major roads are only a few minutes away (for visits to must see places such as Canterbury, Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst Gardens) and nearby Bearsted train station (1 mile) provides direct services to London (1 hour). With the Channel Tunnel being only 25 minutes drive even day trips to France are easy.The Keep Stables has been recently refurbished to provide guests with the highest standard of maximum comfort. Furnished with a luxury stay in mind, the bedroom has a king-size bed with deluxe mattress, high quality bedding and towels with an en-suite shower room. The fully equipped modern kitchen has a dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave and washer/dryer. The lounge has a large TV and Wi-Fi for your Tweets whilst the courtyard is a natural sun trap for an afternoon nap.Guests can enjoy exploring the seven acres of gardens which surround Thurnham Keep with its lavender garden and apiary or playing tennis and croquet before walking over the road to the popular local gastro pub - The Black Horse.When it comes to food, you'll be spoilt for choice. If you want to really start the day in style breakfast can be taken at Thurnham Keep Country House - a two minute walk from the Stables. For evening meals there are five excellent eateries within a mile catering for a broad range of culinary tastes.The Stables has disabled access and adjacent car parking with secure electric gates.All in all, the perfect cosy escape from which to explore all that Kent, the garden of England has to offer.

Thank you for your feedback. In response I would like to address your issues as follows: 1. The Stables has never been a serviced apartment but we do supply clean sheets and towels if guests are staying over a week. 2. A washing up bowl and brush are provided (in cupboard) but most guests choose to use the dishwasher. 3. The televisions both have all major UK channels including free view. These were all working as I went through them with you as you were unsure of how to use the tv control. 4. The Stables is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty within out estate. We have a wonderful pub a short walk away and magnificent walks. We do suggest that guests need a car (which you had) if they wish to visit the many atttactions Kent has to offer. 5. The price reflected the time you were staying - Christmas.

Why can't I call Amanda (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Amanda (the owner) a message.

If Amanda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
