Description from owner

Situated on the outskirts of Tintagel but within easy walking distance of the village, Veronica Cottage dates back to the 16th Century. There is a footpath close by leading to the 11th Century church, King Arthurs legendary castle and the coastal footpath. Castle Beach which can be reached via this footpath, offers safe bathing, whilst the surfer's paradise of Trebarwith Strand Beach is just 2 miles away.

If you prefer to stay locally, Tintagel offers plenty of restaurants, pubs and shopping. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, walking the coastal footpath offers an alternative holiday for those looking for peace and tranquillity. If you wish to travel further afield, cycling on the Camel Trail, fishing harbours of Padstow, Port Isaac, Bude with its sandy beaches and the Eden Project are all within easy driving distance or there are bus services during the summer months to any of these attractions.

One of the best cottages I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent throughout - lovely garden - fast broadband - lovely walks - and much more.

Response from the owner Thank you for staying at Veronica Cottage and your kind comments. It was lovely to meet you and hopefully you had a good journey home. Best wishes to you both. Pam.

“Perfect Family Holiday”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2017

What a wonderful week. The cottage was amazing, clean and spacious for five people. Great location a five minute walk into the centre of Tintagel. We enjoyed a beautiful week of weather in Cornwall and enjoyed visits to Boscastle and Padstow to name a few. If you need a base to explore the fantastic beaches and villages in Cornwall then I would recommend this cottage.

Response from the owner I am so glad you enjoyed your stay Sarah. Sorry I didn't get to meet you and your family or for you to meet Mr. G. He was sulking in the local cattery. Hopefully you will return again sometime and I will say my hello's then.

“A gem of a place”

A delightful homely and comfortable cottage which has it's own beautiful sunny garden. Veronica cottage is set just on the edge of Tintagel with just an easy stroll to the village. Ideally located for taking in the beautiful Cornish coast and countryside. We could have quite easily have stayed near by as the cottage was so relaxing with it's sun drenched patio and private well tended garden. The cottage it's self was delightful with lots of charm and well equipped. We truly had a lovely holiday there and quite reluctant to leave, especially as we had befriended Mr Ginger the cat, he made it feel like home from home. Pam the owner was lovely and friendly, she made us feel really welcome. Pam gave us helpful advice as where to visit and places to eat. I would highly recommend a stay at Veronica cottage it's peaceful, charming, relaxing and friendly.

“An Ideal Location with all the Comforts of Home”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2013

We arrived to find a warm clean and very cosy cottage. There were tea and biscuits on hand after our long journey which was very welcome. The Cottage was very well equipped and it was easy to settle in and make plans to enjoy our stay in this beautiful part on Cornwall. The coastal path is just over the road from the cottage and the walk to the Tintagel Castle and beyond to Boscastle was well worth the effort (although not for the faint hearted!). We also enjoyed our visit to The Old Post Office in the town centre which is now owned by the National Trust. It was an ideal location to visit the many beautiful seaside towns and quiet bays in the area. After a tiring day out it was good to be able to leave the car and stroll into the town for an evening meal at one of several hotels, restaurants and pubs serving a variety of food for all tastes. We enjoyed everything about our stay in Veronica Cottage and would certainly recommend a stay there. It's an excellent base to see the best of North Cornwall.

“Perfect cottage holiday”

My family really enjoyed our week in Tintagel. There are lots to see within driving distance, even when it rains... The only negative point with small children who llike to get up at all times during the nap to use the bathroom is that the upstairs one is only accessible through the main bedroom. But that's a minor thing, really, since everything else is great! The owner lives next door and is very friendly and helpful.
