Chapel Cottage is set in a very quiet and peaceful part of North Norfolk. The beautiful North Norfolk beaches such as Holkham, Brancaster Wells and many more are only a short drive away. Why not take your children to Wells to gilly for small crabs on the quay or a ride on the narrow gauge railway that runs from adjacent the Harbour Office to The Pine woods and beach. Also the Wells to Walsingham Light Railway that runs from a site on The Cromer Road to Little Walsingham with is famous Shrine and many old quaint buildings.

It's often called the Gateway to the North Norfolk Coast as it's well positioned for the coast and other local attractions like Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park(Spring watch) has a fantastic play area for the children only 4 miles away.. and Fakenham Racecourse. There are plenty of places to eat in the town including pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as a four screen cinema and the Gallows Sports Centre with golf, squash, tennis, archery, rifle shooting and bowls.

Also the Dino park at Lenwade which is great for children.. For a good shopping city there is Norwich which is 30 miles away but worth the drive.

It has a Thursday market that dates back to 1250 and a Farmers Market on the last Saturday of each month with great organic produce produced locally. There is also a Tesco and a range of shops in Miller's Walk.

The larger town of King’s Lynn, with it’s port and mediaeval centre,is within easy motoring distance,as are Cambridge & Norwich.
