Glenview Cottage is a superbly renovated, beautifully furnished self catering property in what must be one of the loveliest villages on the Isle of Lewis.
Built only in the early 1950s by a local veteran of the Second World War, it was erected with a tender eye on the lady he expected to marry.
But she was in distant Argyll, it took him years to finish the building – and, before they could wed, she sadly died. In such poignancy it was completed. Decades on, modernized and immaculately refurbished where it has been offering vistors to the Island a wonderful base to explore the Island and its local attractions.
The house sits neatly on a bluff with a commanding outlook over the village, the sea loch with stunning views of Lewis and Harris beyond.
The accommodation comfortably sleeps four people consisting of the Master double bedroom with an immaculately designed en-suite together with another double bedroom. All rooms are beautifully decorated and with the softest and most inviting comforts and furnished to a high of standard. The fully equipped kitchen has recently been extended with all mod cons. A beautiful conservatory offers a dining and lounge space which is a haven in all weathers.
