At the foot of Cabeço do Neve in the Serra do Caramulo, Casa do Cabeço was built around 1900 by a well-to-do family like a country house where you can relax and spend your free time. Recently renovated, it has retained much of the old world charm and all its character, while offering all modern comforts. Located in the middle of a flat top hill or "Cabeço" and surrounded by a garden of beautiful trees and granite walls, the views from the house are splendid. In Casa do Cabeço we offer the following rooms to our clients: Os Sobreiros (double en suite), A Camelia (double en suite), A Tilia (double with private bathroom) and O Carvalho (single en suite). There is a charming lounge shared by all guests to enjoy and relax. The living room has a large screen TV and a DVD player, many books and a lot of board games. The garden around the house offers multiple levels with trees, limited by old granite walls where you can sit and contemplate nature, relax and relax or read a good book. We have an outdoor terrace area where guests can have breakfast and enjoy the sun and the views. We offer a delicious continental breakfast included in the price. We also offer fantastic dinners to our guests for an additional price. There is central heating and wi-fi connection throughout the house. The surroundings deserve to be explored for their landscapes, historical sites, food products and a variety of curiosities. In fact, the small towns in the area maintain a close relationship with nature and the past. Casa do Cabeço is a perfect base to visit the wonderful cities of Viseu, Coimbra, Aveiro and Porto. In addition, a few minutes from the house is the Museum of Art and Classic Cars of Caramulo and its magnificent mountain range, the Ecopista do Dão (former railway line turned into rural tourism road) and numerous river beaches. Wine lovers can enjoy and know the vineyards of the wine region of Dão, one of the most appreciated wines of Portugal. There is much to do during your stay at Casa do Cabeço as our surroundings offer a wide range of activities to our guests. There is something for everyone, from nature walks and hiking trails to the most extreme sports such as paragliding or rock climbing.
