Happy 2024, everyone! We have made tons of upgrades to this home in 2024! New Roof, new floors, new wooden ramp under the home, and best of all, NEW HOT TUB!!! We are open for bookings in 2024! This home books from Saturday to Saturday during the peak season. You are also welcome to book three day stays during the off season.

You've found the most adorable yet affordable beach cottage in Salvo, just a five minute walk to the beach. This spacious beach cottage is a family favorite! Pick your dates and come! During the peak season, this is a SATURDAY to SATURDAY rental. Note: YOU MUST BE 22 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BOOK.

"The Blue Dolphin" features an immense family room with vaulted ceiling, fully stocked kitchen, bonus beer fridge in laundry room, three bedrooms that sleep 8 people (6 adults max), massive wrap around deck with hot tub and built-in dining table, enormous outdoor shower and fish cleaning station. Everything you need is here: games, books, movies, toys for the kids, boogie boards, beach chairs, charcoal grill, high chair and port a crib. Enjoy family dinners around the deck table which seats eight comfortably, then soak in the hot tub under the stars.

This house includes bed linens and hot tub cleaning in the price. Other homes nearby charge extra for this, but we do not. A starter supply of amenities are supplied at no charge, including a roll of paper towels, kitchen sponge, toilet paper and pre-lined trash cans. Meticulous attention has been given to every detail, and because of that you'll want to stay the entire summer! This well-maintained home is pet and smoke free.

The house is 5 lots back from the ocean front. Walk down the lane to the private beach path. Cross the scenic dunes, and you'll arrive in paradise. Wide, expansive white sand, blue sparkling water.

This house is perfect for one family, a family plus the grandparents, or two small families vacationing together. The expansive family room makes the home comfortable, even with 8 guests. The huge deck is perfect for the evening breezes, drinks with friends, or a challenging game of cornhole. Enjoy the sunrises in the morning on the brand new custom table on the deck!

Bedroom 1 downstairs has a queen and TV with full bathroom just outside the bedroom door. On level two; bedroom 2 has a queen, TV and is close to hall bath with tub shower and beautiful skylight. Bedroom three is also upstairs and has two bunk beds: twin over twin, and twin over full. The spacious kitchen is fully stocked. There is also a large pantry just off the kitchen, which has a brand new washer and dryer.

There is so much to do nearby. Explore the island on the bike trails and enjoy the ice cream parlor just down the road. Spend your day fishing at the nearby pier, or in the surf, rent a charter boat for red drum in the sound, or go deep sea fishing. If you're adventurous, you've come to the right place! You can take surf lessons or kiteboarding lessons. Or go jet skiing, kayaking, or paddle boarding in the sound just across the street. Climb the Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest in North America, just 30 minutes south. Take the free ferry to Ocracoke Island to see the wild horses and explore the quaint village. Or take the kids to the aquarium in Manteo. If you have little ones, you could take them to the day beach, which is a short bike ride, which has shallow water they can splash in without the heavy surf. The possibilities are truly limitless. Please note, we do ask that guests agree to our Rental Agreement prior to their arrival.

The cleaning fee covers: Cleaning the home prior to the next guest's arrival, drain / sanitize / refill the hot tub, and providing clean sheets on all beds in the residence. Reminder that towels are not included in the rental rate or cleaning fee. Please bring your own towels.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Grace (the owner) a message.

If Grace (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
