Location description from owner

The North Wales region

The beautiful Isle of Anglesey has over 100 miles of diverse and ever-changing coastline, with most places classified as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stretch your legs on a choice of more than 650 miles of footpaths, spanning everything from rugged coastal cliffs to ancient woodlands. Tread the 400 steps down to South Stack Lighthouse (but don't forget, you've got to climb them back up again!). Hire a bicycle and pedal miles of quiet lanes and tracks. Book a pony trek. Explore the waymarked nature trails. Or just relax with a good book on one of the award winning beaches.

Trearddur Bay

Trearddur Bay is home to the beautiful European Blue Flag beach, which is undoubtedly one of Anglesey's premier beaches. Trearddur Bay combines cleanliness with space. Depending on the time of the year, there is a vast amount of sand and the sea is conducive with lots of water sports, including canoeing, surfboarding, and water skiing. It is perfect for families due to its sandy bay sloping to the sea and protected bathing area, marked by buoys, and rockpools. There is a host of local shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants in Trearddur Bay, and also a Tesco, Morrisons and shopping outlet with an assortment of shops just five minutes away in the car at Penrhos. Holyhead to the north of the island is just a couple of miles up the road, with an array of shops, takeaways, bars and restaurants. There is also an ancient Roman fortress and a church dating back to the 14th century. Day trips to Ireland can also be taken from here.

“Beautiful apartment in a perfect location”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2016

We absolutely loved our stay at the Penthouse, The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more for our stay. The bed was lovely and comfortable with a nice fluffy duvet so we had a great night sleep every night. The kids loved having their own rooms (and bathrooms!) and it was great not fighting for the shower in the evening. The lovely ornaments and pictures just made the place feel like home and we really didnt want to leave. The beach and kcal restaurants were just a few minutes walk away so location was perfect. Hope to return in the near future!

Absolutely delighted that you all enjoyed your stay, and thank you very much for your lovely comments. We look forward to seeing you again at The Penthouse.

“relaxing break”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

lovely apartment clean and modern. however we would not class it as 5 star luxury as bedrooms are small and 2of the three bathrooms very small, struggled to get kids in and out of bath. also only 1 tv in whole apartment, none in any bedrooms and no dryer, or any laundrette close by by which was difficult with children.

We're sorry our property did not quite meet your standards, however the five stars are awarded for quality and accuracy of the description of the property and its facilities in our advertising material, they are reviewed and awarded annually following an independent inspection by the Welsh Tourist Board. We have been operating continually since 2007 and have not previously received any comments about the size of the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are actually two televisions in the property in the two separate lounge areas and again they seem to be more than adequate for our guests.

“Perfect apartment. Well equipped and spotless.”

There is one thing I have to complain about...I dont own this apartment :) Its absolutely perfect. The beach is two minutes walk so the location is great. The apartment has everything to keep teens amused - PS3, DVD's, CD players in every room. Three beautiful bathrooms with excellent showers. Three lovely bedrooms - quality furnishings. Dishwasher and washer came in handy. The apartment block is well looked after. Looking to book again soon.

Thank you very much for your very kind comments. We'd be absolutely delighted to see you again.
