From the owner

Villa Dhyan is perched on the famous Sayan Ridge, overlooking the Ayung River, and has one of the best sunset views in Ubud! It is located near other five-star resorts, such as the Four Seasons, Amandari, and Ritz Carlton.

This historic property has hosted many celebrities and special events in its 30-year history, and offers breathtaking views. It was fully renovated in 2020/2021.

Entering the front gates, you are suddenly in your own private 1000 square meter oasis. A staff of 3 attend to the villa and grounds, cleaning and preparing breakfast daily, and have worked with us for more than 20 years.

There are 3 separate living structures: (1) a “Master” has the Sunset Suite upstairs, and a common open air living room below, connected to one of the two pools; (2) the Bungalow is a 2-bedroom with a connecting bathroom, a small kitchenette, it’s own pool and terrace (where 4 can dine outside); and (3) the Starlight Suite, a cozy wooden room (over a Studio below, not available to guests), which has a balcony, a half bathroom upstairs, and a full bathroom downstairs.

These structures surround a center lawn, and there is an open air dining area that can comfortably seat 8 people. There is also a stage/terrace with a bandshell roof and unique Starry Night light feature.

Most beds are king size (200x200, except one in the Bungalow, which is 160x200), and the Moonlight Suite can be set as 2 twin beds or 1 king. Premium mattresses, bedding, pillows and linens are there to ensure your comfort.

There are a variety of games on the property, and the kitchen is equipped with all kinds of modern appliances, including a commercial espresso machine, coffee roaster and grinder, which the staff use (some of the best coffee in Ubud!).

The property is not considered safe for small children, as there are drop-offs and edges. A private parking area is available outside the front gate.

Why can't I call Agung (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Agung (the owner) a message.

If Agung (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
