From the owner

Orchard Cottage has a lovely enclosed private rear garden making it ideal for families with young children or those travelling with four legged family members. There is a lovely large light beamed living room with dining area and a door leading directly out into the patio of the rear garden. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a separate utility room and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there is a large galleried landing with a window seat overlooking the Thatched roundhouse and a desk area leading to the king size sleigh bed in the master bedroom with private en suite bathroom. There is a lovely single bedroom with a sleigh bed and a further double bedroom sharing the family shower room. All of our cottages have free wifi throughout the gardens and grounds and all our guests have access to the Listed walled garden, Thatched roundhouse and play paddock overlooking Lord Mountbattens 100 acre deer park estate. There is private parking for 2 cars at the front of the cottage and a lovely private front patio with a seating area. We welcome all our guests with fresh flowers, chocolates, and a bottle of fizz as well as a Hamper of Devonshire Treats to help our guest settle into their stay at Old Bridwell, we even have Welcome Hampers for all our pet guests.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Old Bridwell (the owner) a message.

If Old Bridwell (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
