The Old Mint Penthouse offers comfort and relaxation within a spacious, modern and airy accommodation that sets a standard of holiday letting accommodation, which sets itself apart. Upon entrance to this enchanting building, you will recognize a wonderful blend of antiquity with a modern twist, where design against concept has been achieved within a totally refurbished building of heritage. Needless to say, the WOW factor is certainly on the menu here!

Upon entrance to The Old Mint you will find a large entrance hall, which opens out into an internal glass covered court yard with a part glass lift, which will elevate you to the entrance door of your accommodation. Upon entry you will be greeted by a very modern contemporary holiday let accommodation with a typical open plan Mediterranean kitchen/living/dining area (Air Conditioned) with lovely views over to Sliema across Marsamxett harbour, a shower room with WC and a double (Air Conditioned) bedroom with a double bed. The second bedroom is accessed via traditional stone spiral steps having a double bed (Air Conditioned). Further to the accommodation there is large Patio Doors from the kitchen/living/dining area to a Terrace with wood table and chairs offering alfresco dining, from the terrace you will find spiral steps to the Private roof top terrace where you can lounge in the sun with panoramic views hard to come by in Valletta.

Dear Ann, Just to note this property is a Penthouse not an Apartment..! Generally dungeon's are found on lower levels, as per our description "The second bedroom is accessed via traditional stone spiral steps having a double bed (Air Conditioned)" ..! See image 13 showing the spiral stairs ..! See image 14 showing the second bedroom ..! You had the opportunity to read the description and view the images prior to booking. As per image 14 you can see the height of the bed, I don't think a chair is required to enter the bed ..! We found the TV was set on the wrong input source. The TV was shown working to you on arrival, why didn't you contact us after you had pressed the wrong button and changed the input source ..? Yes indeed Valletta is has step steps, you didnt search the locality prior to booking.

Thank you for your positive feedback we appreciate that a lot :-) In terms of outside furniture on the roof we need to be careful, due to high winds we are subject to on occasion of which on two occasion we lost a sunlounger and all the cushions due to them being left on the rooftop terrace. In terms of the electricity allocated to any one stay we include €5.00 per day, which is adequate. The reason we use this method is due to certain departed guest leaving all the A/C's running whilst on days out. We would be delighted to have you come stay with us again :-)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
