Las Calas is a 17TH century Manor House, situated in the heart of the island of Gran Canaria. Nestled in the beautiful hamlet of OWL, in the middle of Vega de San Mateo, its reconstruction has respected all the elements of the traditional architecture of the area.
In 1998 Magüi Carratalá undertook its restoration and conversion into the current Hotel Las Calas. The conception of its original architecture was rigorously enforced in his rehabilitation. Perhaps the largest friendly success is its design. A successful combination of wood and stone, geometric shapes and warm natural colours, where structural classicism is attached to the decorative modernity and interior details.
