From the owner

Our largest Casita Alcornoque was once our family home and so is tucked to the side of the finca, offering the most privacy and seclusion of the 4 Casitas on El Sueño Finca. It has 3 double/twin bedrooms, a large family bathroom with washing machine, sitting room & separate kitchen/dining room - ideal for an individual family or a group of up to six guests (max 4 adults). The well-stocked fully fitted kitchen/dining room has granite worktops, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave & wooden dining table seating six, while the separate sitting room area has two comfy sofas and an armchair as well as WiFi, smart TV, board games, books and toy box - with a woodburning stove for between mid December to end of March, (seasoned wood is provided weekly).

Patio doors from the sitting room open directly onto a spacious West-facing terraced patio, fully shaded with two round wrought iron chairs two curl up with a book or morning coffee - along with a charcoal barbeque and large wooden table and benches for up to 10 guests to eat together, so the ideal Casita for booking with another for smaller groups of families and friends who each want their own private space too. There is a parking area with shaded carport as well as a secluded garden that wraps all around this Casita, with two sunbeds and a wooden swing chair for relaxing in the sunshine - perfect for guests of all ages, including families with little ones.

El Sueño Finca is found in one of the most beautiful & unspoilt areas of the Costa de la Luz, in a secluded valley by the sea between the hilltop 'white village' of Vejer & the seaside town of Barbate - offering just 5 individual sustainably-renovated country houses in 8 organic acres, four Casitas including Alcornoque sleeping 1-6 persons sharing a pool and the larger Cortijo for persons with its own private pool. Just minutes away are miles of glorious beaches, great restaurants, shops & markets, nature reserves & a range of activities from cookery courses, horseriding, equestrian Sunshine Tour, (kite)surfing, wildlife tours to whale & dolphin watching - while within easy reach are many of the historical and cultural gems of Jerez, Seville & even Morocco. El Sueño is laid-back retreat, with a daily bilingual caretaker to clean the pool, with a bilingual childminder and arrival shopping service available on request.

We appreciate guests want to enjoy their own privacy and space, so a comprehensive Information Book is in the property with plenty of suggestions for local beaches, restaurants, days out & activities, while a bilingual caretaker will be on the finca daily to water plants and check/clean the pools and offer assistance. 24 hour contact numbers for emergencies are also provided, with phone & email support for all other general queries offered by us every day. To offer guests as much flexibility as possible with travel plans & flights, the front gates are coded & each property has its own key lock-box - so guests can arrive/depart at a time to suit you within the booking period, rather than meet a keyholder within a limited time frame.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
