From the owner

The Apartment is located on the second floor of a quiet 16th century Venetian Palace, it is very bright and overlooks an idyllic venetian canal. The Palace has been recently fully restored and among its features has a private water entrance , an internal courtyard and a lift.

Even if it lies in a very central area of Venice in the Castello “ Sestiere “ ( quartier ) is very quiet being out of the mass tourism beaten path but at the same time close to everything. In fact it takes only a few minutes walk to the nearest public boat piers ( San Zaccaria dock ) where all the major boat lines depart to all the most important destinations: Airport, Train Station, Parking Areas, Murano, Burano, Torcello and Venice-Lido.

Next to the apartment you can find everything you need for a pleasant stay like local Restaurants, bar as well as supermarkets, butchers, bakeries and chemist.

In Venice, people almost always get around on foot, therefore it is a great convenience to be just at a few minutes walk from the Saint Marco’s Cathedral and the Doge's Palace, the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront, the Rialto Bridge or the Biennale gardens and the Arsenale. And even because public transportation in Venice is very expensive, 7,5 euro each ticket.

The Municipality of Venice has established the tourist tax. The tax is applied to the overnight stays of non-residents in the Municipality of Venice for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.

For this accommodation facility the tax amounts to Euros 4 per person each night, children under 16 years old half price.

In accordance with the Italian law, heating will be available from the 15th of October to the 15th of April.

Air conditioning generally will be available from the middle of May to the middle of September, depending on temperature.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Elisabetta (the owner) a message.

If Elisabetta (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
