This 3 double bedroom house has excellent town sea and downs views and sleeps 7 people [ plus sofa bed]. The accommodation comprises of 3 double bedrooms [ 1 double bed, 2 single, 3 single beds], a bathroom with separate shower, kitchen, lounge and conservatory that leads out to the garden with spectacular views of Ventnor Downs,the town and sea.Excellent garden with great views and space to BBQ , sunbath and relax. The garen is very safe and perfect for children and pets.

Whether you want a beach, walking, relaxing or an exploring holiday; 'The Perch' is a perfect place to base yourself for your activities. Whether dining in or out, you are well catered for as all the amenities are only a 5 minute walk away and first class eateries are within close proximity.

The accomodation is perfect for family groups with children and pets , also friendship groups who are looking for a perfect base to explore the island, walk the island or cycle the island or just relax.

The island has reqular walking and cycling festival along with many art and music events.

The Ventnor , Bonchurch and Steephill Cove beach are all within walking distance of the Perch ! and are clean safe beaches [ Bonchurch beach allows dogs all year round]

We really enjoyed our stay in the well equipped,comfortable and spotlessly clean Perch. Moments away from Ventnor centre (yet so peaceful), and with a gorgeous sea view. Great little garden too. We were lucky enough to be there during the hottest bank holiday ever! First visit ever to Isle of Wight. Definitely won't be our last!

“Perfect pet friendly holiday home”

Despite the weather we had a wonderful 2 week stay at The Perch. The house is on 3 floors and well equipped, fabulous seaview from the master bedroom. Small enclosed garden with lovely sea views, perfect for our little dog. Short walk down some steps to the seafront, where there is an easy walk to Bonchurch in one direction and Steephill Cove in the other. Lots of nice places to eat, especially good for breakfast was Two Cooks on Pier Street. We treated ourselves to dinner at The Royal Hotel and The Hamborough, both excellent and within easy walking distance. Booking was quick and easy, e mails answered promptly. I would definitely recommend The Perch, we will be going back!

“Comfortable cottage with sea views too”

We enjoyed a relaxing week at the Perch in August. It has bags of character (in a good way!) and provided plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 teenagers. Two of the bedrooms have sea views and there's a lovely sea view from the decking in the garden too. The owners have thoughtfully provided binoculars, maps and guidebooks, along with plenty of books and DVDs - everything you need for a British seaside holiday. The location is great - close to the centre for convenience, but just far enough out to be quiet, The neighbours were friendly an, parking wasn't a problem (sometimes we had to leave the car a few doors down, but no further). Ventnor seems to be in the process of becoming 'gentrified' so it's a funny mix of old fashioned seaside shops and bistros, artisan bakeries and craft ice-cream makers. We love it! And the coastal walks are sensational. We should also mention that the owners were very helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

The Perch provided myself, husband small child and mother in law with a comfortable and homely stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms airy. The kitchen provided everything we needed and the garden although small had fantastic views which made us almost feel we were abroad. The sun room was impossible to use as on the week we stayed temperatures were reaching 30 degrees outside (we were very lucky with the weather) The Perch is a 5 min walk away from town and the beach, and a 20 min walk away from steephill cove which is a must for visitors who love natural rustic quiet beauty. The Perch isnt perfect. It doesnt have the wow factor of some places i have stayed. It could do with a nice bbq in the garden and a little tlc here and there but we would stay there again. It is reasonably priced and the owner viv was very accommodating to requests such as allowing us to take our french bulldog archie along with us. As a family we would definitely recommend this holiday home to you.

“very homeley house with suberb views close to Ventnor town centre”

We found that the house met all our needs. It was well equipped and plenty of space.The outside was loveley and the conservatory. We used the bbq for a fantastic fish bbq bought from the beach shop.The parking was a bit annoying because we could never park outside. We especially enjoyed the Volunteer pub and their quiz night.

The Perch proved to be a great location for a relaxing break near the sea. The house was clean and comfortable and provided all the equipment we needed. Situated near the beach and also within walking distance of the town, the house is in an ideal position for walking and evening entertainment. There is plenty to do on the island - whatever the weather. Best of all, we took our big black dog with us and he was also welcomed wherever we went - joining us for pub meals, afternoon teas and receiving a special treat down at the local.

Lovely spacious comfy house. Went with a mixed family group teenagers and toddlers and the house accomodated us all perfectly, we even took the dog ! House very clean and well presented with all the bits and bobs you need. House has a lovely safe garden with great views for an evening glass of wine or two !First trip to Isle of Wright and we loved it, Location was great , we never needed to get in the car. Definetely can recomend the Perch, we will go again.

The Perch is a homely rental property, and we felt immediately settled when we arrived. It is well equipped with things we normally have to take with us on holidays, like clothes pegs, barbeque, hand soap, toilet rolls etc. It has a lived in feel to it, which we loved. There were some DVDs and board games and things for the kids too, which was great. The beds are super-comfortable and we all had extra long sleeps! The stairs inside the property are quite steep, unsuitable for people with poor mobility, but very good for improving your leg muscles if you are , like me, in need of some exercise! The Perch is very convenient as it is located very close to the town centre. Great for trips to the clean, unspoilt beach in the town. Views from the house and hills are lovely to wake up to. Ventnor is a good holiday base as nowhere on the island is very far away and there are plenty of places to eat and shop within the town. We would definitely love to visit again! Thank you for a lovely holiday.
