Lugar da Passagem is located in the foothills of Moreira de Geraz do Lima Parish, on the banks of the Lima River, in Viana do Castelo Municipality. For centuries, Passagem Village assured the ferry crossing between Moreira de Geraz do Lima and Lanheses, used for transporting people and goods. Currently, the valuation and the interest in the ferries and the river crossings continue to be prime objectives of this rural centre.

In the historical village of Passagem, the Candeias Church, the Prelada Cross, the Marco da Passagem, the anchorage and the river beach are of note, examples of a valuable architectural and environmental heritage. On foot or by bike, take the Lima River Ecovia - the Plains Route, which connects Viana do Castelo to Ponete de Lima Bridge and crosses through Lugar da Passagem. This rural centre is a central point for trails passing through Vale do Lima whether for the Romanesque or Ribeira de Lima itineraries, the Way of St. James or gastronomic itineraries.

As for the typical food in this village, lamprey (caught here) and quality vinho verde are highlighted.

The characteristic handicrafts in the Passagem Historical Area are embroidered linen and the cultural traditions of this land, the Trajo Verde de Geraz do Lima Folk Group.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Natalia (the owner) a message.

    If Natalia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
