Locality
Victor Harbor is a fantastic holiday location on the Fleurieu Peninsula, just a hours drive south of Adelaide. Also close to Cape Jervis, the gateway to Kangaroo Island and the wine region of McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek.
Enjoy exploring local beaches, wildlife, marine life, hiking a part of the close by Heysen Trail or watching the coastal scenery and kangaroo's at Deep Creek National Park.

WALKING
Granite Island
Walk or take the famous horse tram over the causeway to Granite Island. Walk around the island and enjoy the scenery, dolphins, seals and in winter the occasional Southern Right Whale.
Inman River Trail
An easy stroll following the banks of the Inman River, 5 km linear walk
Hindmarsh River trail
An easy stroll along the river, 5 km linear walk
The Bluff ( Rosetta Head)
On the southwestern site of Encounter Bay you can enjoy a walk around the Bluff with views along the magnificent coastline. See the occasional dolphins, seals or whales.
BUSHWALKS
Deep Creek Conservation Park
Deep Creek Conservation Park is located 50 km west of Victor Harbor on the road to Kangaroo Island. The park provides several scenic and sometimes challenging bushwalks.It is also home to Western Great Kangaroos, Echidnas and Bandicoots.
Newland Head Conservation Park
Just 12 km west of Victor Harbor you find a series of signposted walking trails, starting from both beaches, as Waitpinga Beach and Parsons Beach. Breathtaking coastal scenery. Both beaches are excellent fishing spots.
The Heysen Trail
There is an interesting and very scenic part of the famous Heysen Trail close to Victor Harbor. You can either start at Kings Beach, Waitpinga Beach or Parsons Beach.
BIKING
Encounter Bikeway
Bike all the way from Encounter Bay via Victor Harbor, the coastal towns of Port Elliot and Middleton to Goolwa along the Coastal Bikeway. The total distance is 30 km, but you can choose your own distance according to levels of fitness.
Tourist drive
The Fleurieu Way Tourist Drive is a 235 km touring route around the Fleurieu Peninsula, showing you all the highlights of this stunning surroundings.

Penguins
Take a walk around Granite Island. See the little penguins on a guided dusktour.
Whales
Watch the Southern Right Whale in season ( June - October) from many whale watching points along the coast. Visit the SA Whale Museum at Victor Harbor.
