The apartment is located by the beach in Gulpilhares/Vila Nova de Gaia, a few kilometres away from the city of Porto, Portugal. If you land at Porto airport and rent a car, one can get there mostly on highways (with no toll from airport till the apartment). If you wish to come by public transport from Porto airport, you just need to get a metro’ followed by a train, acquiring just one ticket for both: a way to get there is to go by metro to S. Bento railway station and then by train - passing through Campanhã, the other main railway station in Porto - till Miramar station, located at c.a 700m from the apartment. However, it is suggested that YOU PHONE THE HOST UPON ARRIVAL IN PORTO AIRPORT OR CITY, SO THAT WE MAY MATCH THE SCHEDULE AND THE BEST WAY TO GET TO THE APARTMENT.

Total area: 95 m² with capacity for up to 6 people.

The apartment is fully furnished offering 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with a bed-sofa; wide living room with a sofa-bed (not that large for a couple but there is another foldable bed), cable TV & Internet and a balcony with a sea-view. The kitchen is fully equipped (incl. two washing machines).

On the ground floor of its «blue building», there are parking spaces on the street and several shops, such as a Chinese one, another for newspapers/magazines and a bakery, a grocery and nearby restaurants including pizzeria, take-aways, etc..

The apartment has a balcony overlooking the sea, as it is at walking distance from the nearest beach, which is beside Miramar beach (hosting the S.r. da Pedra Capela), considered the 10th most beautiful beach in Europe (see Best Beaches in Europe 2015).

Along the seaside there are facilities such as a large walkway over dunes along the beach for jogging, a bicycle track, fields for beach football/volleyball, playgrounds and the Miramar Golf Club. There is also an Aquarium, at the Litoral Station of Aguda, a town nearby.
