Located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Vilanculos, overlooking the bay of Bazaruto, Casa Babi is the latest addition to accommodation in Vilanculos.

Designed by Odyssea Dive as a “boutique hotel”, our aim is to meet the needs of travelers, divers and non-divers, who wish to spend some time enjoying our unique decor in a cosy and familiar atmosphere, where details are important.

A real home away from home. As part of the team, our 6 dogs might contribute to this feeling!

Each of our 4 luxury rooms with en-suite bathroom benefits from a private veranda, from which you'll be able to enjoy the most stunning views of the islands and of the animated life on the beach: fishermen coming back with their daily catch, women carrying baskets of crabs on their heads as they walk along the shore, children playing on the sands. On Sundays, you'll also be lulled by the beautiful sound of the all-female choir singing in the church next door.

Keeping in mind that summers can be hot, we've designed our rooms to keep them cool with natural ventilation. The ocean's breeze which will flow into your rooms can be boosted with the very silent fans placed above your beds.

Casa Babi offers a proper taste of Africa with all the European comfort, including a swimming pool that you will give you a welcome respite from the warmth of the midday sun.

Our private restaurant, open to our guests only, prepares different meals every day, based on a fusion of local fresh products and recipes with an international touch. Don't expect a long menu. We cook based on what we have found in the market that day! An example? Crab quiche and salad as a starter, fish stir-fried with vegetables and coconut rice and mango mousse for dessert. Or, prawns in coconut milk soup, roast chicken with spices and manioc followed by banana flambée. We think there's nothing better than recounting the days adventures at sea while enjoying a pleasant dinner.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Denis (the owner) a message.

If Denis (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
